From modular, scalable data center architecture design to storage consolidation, and from hybrid cloud integration to energy efficiency, we prepare your data center to meet today's needs and support tomorrow's growth.

Overview

The data center is the heart of modern enterprise IT. All business applications, customer data and operational processes depend on this infrastructure. Yet many organizations struggle with hardware silos that have grown organically over decades without integration, complex cabling and inadequate cooling systems. Indexline Data Center Solutions provides a holistic service offering to modernize this environment and future-proof it.

Modular data center design means a flexible infrastructure architecture that adapts to your organization's pace of growth. Instead of the traditional "big bang" approach, we design a scalable architecture that lets you add capacity as demand grows. This approach both lowers the initial investment and reduces the risk of technology obsolescence. Each module can be upgraded or replaced independently.

Storage consolidation is one of the highest-return steps in data center modernization. By consolidating storage units purchased separately for different applications onto a central storage platform, you can use capacity more efficiently, reduce the management burden and significantly cut storage costs. We evaluate SAN, NAS and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) options according to your organization's workload profile.

Hybrid cloud integration has become an integral part of data center strategy. By configuring your on-premises infrastructure to work seamlessly with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, you gain the flexibility to run each workload in the most suitable environment. Indexline provides consulting and implementation services for hybrid cloud architecture design, secure connectivity setup and workload placement optimization.

How It Works

1

Current State Assessment: Your data center's physical layout, power consumption, cooling capacity, server inventory and storage utilization are measured comprehensively. The PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) value is calculated.

2

Architecture Design and Capacity Planning: 3- and 5-year growth scenarios are developed to prepare the required capacity and a modular expansion roadmap. Tier-2 or Tier-3 reliability targets are reflected in architectural decisions.

3

Storage Consolidation: The workload characteristics of different storage units are analyzed to determine the most suitable consolidation strategy. SAN fabric design, zoning configuration and multipathing setup are carried out.

4

Server Modernization: Legacy servers are evaluated for consolidation or virtualization. Options for migrating to blade chassis systems or HCI platforms are presented with a cost-benefit analysis.

5

Power and Cooling Optimization: The power distribution architecture is updated to match UPS and PDU capacity to the workload. The cooling system is optimized with hot-aisle/cold-aisle layouts or in-row cooling.

6

Network Connectivity and Segmentation: The internal data center network (data center fabric) is designed with high bandwidth and low latency requirements in mind. The storage network, management network and production network are separated from one another.

7

Testing, Commissioning and Documentation: All system components are validated through rigorous test procedures. Comprehensive as-built documentation is prepared and handed over to your IT team.

Key Features

HCI (Hyperconverged Infrastructure)

HCI solutions that combine compute, storage and networking on a single platform shrink data center footprint by 70% and simplify management.

Flash Storage Acceleration

All-flash and hybrid-flash storage arrays deliver sub-second latency for applications that require high IOPS.

Automated Storage Tiering

Data is moved automatically between hot/warm/cold tiers based on access frequency. The balance between cost and performance is optimized automatically.

Power Management and Monitoring

Power consumption is monitored in real time at the server, rack and data center level. Power anomalies are detected and preventive maintenance alerts are generated.

Out-of-Band Management

Servers can be accessed through iDRAC, iLO and IPMI interfaces even without network connectivity. Remote KVM access and boot environment management are provided.

Hybrid Cloud Gateways

Dedicated cloud gateways are configured for secure, low-latency connections from on-premises infrastructure to cloud resources.

Storage Snapshots and Cloning

Snapshots enable consistent backups without generating disk I/O that affects workloads. Development/test environments are created in seconds through cloning.

Rack Density Optimization

Blade and ultra-dense server platforms fit more computing capacity into the same rack space, lowering colocation and cooling costs.

Benefits & Advantages

Storage consolidation reduces infrastructure management costs by 50% while increasing storage utilization efficiency by 30-40%.

Migrating to an HCI platform dramatically reduces data center space requirements, delivering tangible savings on colocation costs.

Thanks to the modular architecture, new workloads can be brought online within weeks; the infrastructure procurement cycle shrinks from months to days.

PUE optimization lowers energy consumption by 20-35%, contributing both to cost savings and to corporate sustainability goals.

Comprehensive monitoring and an automated alerting system detect potential hardware failures before they occur, so they can be resolved through preventive maintenance.

Hybrid cloud integration brings cloud resources online during periodic load spikes, eliminating the need to plan hardware capacity for peak rather than average demand.

Industry Use Cases

Finance & Banking

A redundant power and cooling architecture was designed for critical banking applications requiring Tier-3 reliability; the risk of single points of failure was completely eliminated.

Healthcare & Hospitals

Through storage consolidation of the PACS system, terabytes of medical imaging data became faster to access and less costly to manage.

Manufacturing & Industry

An edge data center at the factory site was integrated with the central data center in a hybrid architecture; production data can now be analyzed in real time.

E-Commerce

With flash storage and HCI infrastructure, database query times were cut by 90%; the infrastructure ran without interruption during peak periods such as Black Friday.

Public Sector & Local Government

Scattered server silos were consolidated in a central data center; energy consumption fell by 40% while the management burden was significantly reduced.

Education & Universities

A high-capacity storage solution was deployed for research data; thanks to cloud integration, researchers gained secure access to data from anywhere.

The Indexline Approach

The most common mistake in data center projects is designing only for immediate needs. At Indexline, we evaluate every data center project from a 5-7 year perspective, ensuring that today's investment still delivers value tomorrow. The modular design principle is the concrete expression of this long-term approach.

As a Platinum/Titanium partner of Dell Technologies, HPE and Lenovo, we have access to the latest hardware products and comprehensive vendor support. This partnership provides competitive pricing and priority technical support, especially on large-volume projects. Our partnerships with storage vendors such as NetApp and Pure Storage offer the same level of deep technical expertise.

At the end of every data center project, comprehensive as-built documentation and an operations runbook are prepared. These documents cover the rationale behind architectural decisions, configuration details, maintenance procedures and disaster recovery steps. Enabling your in-house IT team to manage the infrastructure independently is the ultimate measure of our project's success.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should we choose HCI or a traditional 3-tier architecture?

The choice depends on your workload characteristics, your team's skill profile and your budget. HCI offers advantages in terms of management simplicity and scalability, but all components scale together. A 3-tier architecture offers the flexibility to scale compute and storage independently. We evaluate both options with a cost-benefit analysis and present the recommendation best suited to your organization.

Can we integrate our existing hardware into the new infrastructure?

Generally yes, but it depends on the age of the hardware, vendor support and capacity. An inventory assessment of existing hardware is carried out during the discovery phase. Fully depreciated hardware can be integrated into the new architecture, and a refresh plan is prepared for hardware that has reached the end of its support life.
